The mission of the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) is to provide statewide leadership of a high-quality mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery system that is effective and valued by all Ohioans.
OhioMHAS will be a national leader in implementing a comprehensive, accessible, and quality-focused system of addiction and mental health care and wellness for all Ohio citizens.
Our Mission is to promote healthy behaviors by sparking and sustaining community change. PreventionFIRST!, formerly the Coalition for a Drug-Free Greater Cincinnati, was founded in 1996 by now Senator Rob Portman, Ohio First Lady Emeritus Hope Taft, Rev. Dr. Damon Lynch, and Mr. John Pepper as a comprehensive effort to address youth substance abuse.
Cincinnati Children’s will improve child health and transform delivery of care through fully integrated, globally recognized research, education and innovation. Cincinnati Children’s has a long tradition of community involvement. From employee volunteer efforts to partnership investments with other nonprofits, we are deeply committed to leading, collaborating and advocating to measurably improve the health of local children and reduce disparities in targeted populations. We are committed to addressing significant health needs that may go beyond our role as Greater Cincinnati’s leading pediatric healthcare provider.
